Michael V. Pundeff
Michael V. Pundeff has 29 years experience as a litigation attorney in both California state and federal trial courts. He has successfully obtained a number of multi-million dollar settlements and judgments on behalf of his clients, as well as successfully defended clients and their insurers against the claims of others. He has successfully litigated cases before judges and juries, as well as successfully represented clients in numerous arbitrations and mediations involving a wide range of complex business and real estate matters. The broad range of matters he has handled include disputes involving construction, real estate purchases and sales, eminent domain, intellectual property rights, libel, and breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith.
Mr. Pundeff also has significant experience at the appellate level, having successfully handled appeals in both the federal and state appellate courts. His work on behalf of clients has resulted in several favorable published opinions, including precedent-setting decisions in the areas of insurance (Firoito v. State Farm Insurance Company) and copyright infringement (National Theme Productions, Inc. v. Beck).
Mr. Pundeff's primary focus is on commercial and financial transactions, corporate and partnership formation and dissolution, real estate and business litigation, regulatory law, insurance litigation, and financial planning. He has served as an Arbitrator for more than ten years for the San Diego County Bar Association.
Mr. Pundeff is a member of the California Bar admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the Southern and Central Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Pundeff earned his B.A., with honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara; his M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles; and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
